Looking into how different colours on text can change the perception, with people perceiving colours in different ways.
Hue= one colour
colour= one or several hues
Chroma refers to all colour including shades, tints and tones.
Chromatic value= hue + tone + saturation
shades are hues + black
Tints are hues + white
Tones are hues + grey
monochromatic value is the greys made when taking colours away

Colour theories:

Itten:

Contrast of hue- when colours are next to their contrast colours they look most intense
Contrast of light and dark- strongest are black and white- still strong composition when monochromatic
Contrast of saturation- the contrast between the pure, intense and dull colours within a hue- brightness/darkness
Contrast of extension/ proportion- the different sizes of colours, how dominant colours are
Contrast of temperature- form of juxtaposing hues that are warm/cool, how your perceive colour
Complementary contrast- complementary colours from the colour wheel placed next to each other, becoming more intense
Simultaneous contrast- colours change depending on the colours they are presented next to, looking at if you can make both canons the same

Albers:

How colour changes when With others
taking colour away- weight of the image drops
illusion of something 3d
