In the bookbinding session we learnt how to create the simplest of books, with a hardcover. The first step was folding the pages, using a bone fold, then measuring the middle of the crease and then the other two sides of the holes. Then poking a hole through the holes, of which then doing a simple stitch throughout. Use the cutting knife to make sure the booklet is straight also. Then, with the greybeard cutting out the size of the book adding 3mm to each side. Then using the cut out greybeard as a template to cut out the 2nd one. With both grey boards place them between the booklet and use double sided tape to place together. Then place both grey boards on the buckram, leaving a 3mm gap between the middle. Then draw a line on the top of grey boards and stick both of them down. Then with the bone folder create the creases. Then fold the buckram and stick on the grey board, doing the same to each side. Then with the coloured card stick one to each side of the made booklet, and with the other side stick to one side of the booklet and press hard, want a bit of room so you can see the stitching. Make sure the booklet doesn't hang out of the cover, otherwise rearrange a bit.
