With the pictures collated from taking a visit to kirkgate market, the best ones were chosen and edited with changing the contrast and brightness etc. From the pictures taken and by walking around the market and seeing the signs 1st hand, I chose the signs of which used different hand made techniques in order to replicate and be chosen for the content of the publication of which will celebrate the hand techniques. With the best photos taken, I first collated them and made a simple, mock up publication, with testing out the replication designs being signatures in the publications. One of the hand methods of which I chose to replicate was the hand written signs, of which in the market I saw at the sweet stall. In the mock up I placed the image of which I replicated on one side of the double page spread then had the replication on the other, with the hand written sign being the size of A3 of which was folded in the publication. With the size being bigger and having to fold it out in order to see its intireity, it added more interest to the publication, rather than haven them the same size as the pictures. Choosing the hand written method showed that personal and uniqueness of this method, with also creating the juxtaposition of the gold leaf gilding that is found in the market. The other method of which i tried was using chalkboard adhesive and chalk markers in order to replicate the chalkboard sign in the market. For this replication it is the same size as the picture, with this method chosen because of the popularity of using a chalkboard for signs, with it being a modern day craze of using for sign creation. With doing these first mock ups of the publication It was clear that perhaps binding them together isn't the most effective, as all the signs are so different so perhaps they should be individual in some way.
