With the concept of having posters/artwork which comes with the publication, with showcasing hand made processes, it was decided that a good method was embossing/de-embossing.
with the hand methods - being unique each time like sign lettering
With a sign in kirkgate market resembling the technique of de bossing, it was decided to take this logo and replicate the sign found. The process started with laser cutting the vector, in order to create a plate to de emboss with. With this process it was difficult to discover how to set the software up in order to get it to deliver the outcome in order to de emboss with. With many attempts and failures, with rastering it and cutting the letters, to rasterising the whole thing and to the letters not rastering properly, the end result was rastering the circle, with leaving the text in order to create depth of which will be seen when de embossed. When cutting out the design it was apparent that the smaller writing that was apart of the logo was too small in order to be successfully read and legible, so two designs were made in order to test this problem when de embossing.
